Study and disseminate models of good practice in learning

We learn to learn
The association "Learn to learn" arises from the need of a group of people to study learning in all its forms to promote its evolution and diffusion in all environments, at all ages and in all social conditions .

The association proposes itself as a network of reflections, projects, initiatives, exchanges at local and global level, centered on metacognition, computer science of the mind, the activation of individual and collective personal resources, the conscious and social use of technology. .

We believe that learning represents in the first place a very powerful means of economic and social development which under certain conditions has no cost and in any case, if well oriented, has a very high return.

On the other hand, learning is a widespread and largely spontaneous phenomenon that can be promoted in the context of so-called active citizenship initiatives. Learning to learn, under certain conditions and in many respects, costs nothing and instead pays enormously, both individually and as a group.

Where, how and why
You can and must learn in and out of school, in the family, in your free time, at work. Learning to play, to dance, to play sports, to use hands and thought to invent and to do. Learn about the real world and its virtual representations. Learn to increase your knowledge and solve problems. Learning alone, learning together, starting as children, to never stop learning. Mind, body, senses, emotions, knowledge, production and sharing of knowledge and experiences.

The "Intelligence" project
Among the most significant projects that have promoted learning we remember an "Intelligence" project conceived by Seymour Papert and other MIT researchers for Venezuela. The project aimed to invest resources to encourage learning in the age group between 10 and 11 years. This investment seemed like the highest impact investment at the time.

Learning to learn at any age
But how can we forget the importance of continuous learning? Think of the figure of Rita Levi Montalcini, Nobel Prize winner for the discovery of the growth of neurons responsible for learning and died at the age of over 100 years still perfectly lucid and present at all levels ... The European Union promotes projects on learning I continue to which we think we should participate.
